Objectives and Expectations
Unified Goals
- Art, Design, and Tech Integration: All aspects of the game, including art, design, and technology, should work in harmony to achieve unified goals.
- Emotional Gameplay: The game should offer a memorable experience that evokes fun, excitement, challenge, fear, etc.
- Quality and Polish: The game should have a level of finish and polish comparable to a quality indie game, keeping appropriate scoping in mind (e.g., a vertical slice).
Areas of Innovation
The team should aim to excel in one or two areas to make the product stand out. Examples include:
- Multiplayer support
- Unique art style or rendering techniques
- Support for user-generated content or modding (must be demonstrable)
- Innovative gameplay mechanics
- Interesting use of AI
- Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR)
Team Composition
- Size: The team should consist of a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 12.
- Roles: The team should ideally be divided into thirds: ⅓ content creators, ⅓ programmers, and ⅓ others (or multi-disciplinary members).
